pt 03 - Can I deliver on the promises I make to people?

Picture
As creative Christians, we're often blessed with innovative ideas to help and serve others. However, turning these ideas into profitable businesses can be challenging.

Not every concept needs to become a full-fledged venture, so how do we decide which ones are worth pursuing?

We have been exploring 5 Key questions every Entrepreneur needs to be asking themselves, if you have not yet read the first two, I would encourage you to jump back as they build on each other.  In this short post we ask the Question - Can I deliver what I promised?

  1. Do people want what I am planning to offer?
  2. How can I create and deliver my product/service at a price people are willing to pay?
  3. Can this product/service actually deliver on the promises I make to people?
  4. How will I let people know about what I have created?
  5. Can I generate enough money to build on my idea?
Can this product/service actually deliver on the promises I make to people?
As Christian creatives, our businesses should reflect our faith and values, with integrity and honesty at the forefront. Ensuring that our products or services consistently deliver on the promises we make to our audience is crucial for building trust and credibility.

Consider the following steps when evaluating your offerings:
  1. Quality Assurance: Regularly assess the quality of your work to ensure it aligns with the value you've promised customers. For instance, if you've created a video series on biblical storytelling, make sure each episode provides the insights and guidance your audience expects.
  2. Gather and Implement Feedback: Gathering feedback, and refining what you are offering to keep reaching you audience. However, you may be enticed to change too much, based on what the loudest voices think. So find the balance of listening and adapting while always sticking to the “Why” of your business.
  3. Consistent Communication: Keep your audience informed about any changes or updates to your products or services. Transparent communication helps maintain trust and fosters long-term relationships.

Asking yourself if you are delivering what you promised, will help you to both, build trust and credibility with your audience, while also helping you to stay on track with the mission of your business. Staying true to your mission will not only help you build a loyal customer base but also create a strong foundation for a successful, values-driven business.
